Resource Innovations, in partnership with Sustainable Northwest (Portland, Oregon), the Forest Guild (Santa Fe, New Mexico), and the Watershed Research and Training Center (Hayfork, California), announce the release of resources aimed at empowering communities to reduce their risk to wildfire and engage in collaborative restoration of public and private lands in the wildland urban interface. These publications can help communities address wildfire risk and implement forest fuels reduction and restoration projects.

Developed by Resource Innovations, Forest Guild in New Mexico, and Watershed Research and Training Center in California, this publication addresses the wildfire protection needs of low-income and under-served communities. In addition to addressing the physical risk, the guide also takes into account the social risks of wildfire in such communities—loss of jobs and resources, and other economic opportunities.
