Tribal Wildfire Resource Guide
As a follow up to needs assessment recommendations, Resource Innovations is currently developing a Tribal Wildfire Resource Guide in coordination with the Intertribal Timber Council and representatives from Pacific Northwest tribes and federal agencies including the Bureau of Indian Affairs, National Park Service, Forest Service, and the Bureau of Land Management.

June 2006 Tribal Fire and Forestry Roundtable - North Bend, Oregon
On June 28th, 2006, Resource Innovations hosted a one-day meeting with tribes and state and federal agency representatives to present the Tribal Wildfire Resource Guide and discuss challenges and opportunities related to fire management and forest health.

Wildfire Protection and Tribal Needs Assessment
In 2004, Resource Innovations completed a needs assessment that gauged the wildfire protection and prevention needs of federally recognized tribes in the Pacific Northwest.

The Promise of Wildland Fire Management: Creating Economic Opportunity for American Indian Tribes
Resource Innovations Graduate Teaching Fellow Kitty Rasmussen wrote her thesis on the economic opportunities presented by wildland fire management.
