Shannon Donovan is the Research Specialist and Project Manager for the Community Capacity and Environment Program. Shannon has a B.S. in Wildlife Management from the University of New Hampshire, an M.S. in Park Resources, Recreation and Tourism from West Virginia University and a Ph.D. in Environmental Science from the University of Idaho. At the University of Idaho Shannon worked with an interdisciplinary group of scientists to craft conservation strategies for the Volcánica Central de Talamanca Biological Corridor of Costa Rica and the Palouse region of the Inland Northwest. At RI, Shannon provides partnership and collaboration services related to stewardship contracting, wildfire protection and biomass utilization. She also leads an innovative multi-party monitoring effort designed to assess the ecological and socio-economic impacts of a large-scale stewardship contracting and watershed restoration activities.
